Kenya is honoured to host the 6th edition of the African Youth SDGs Summit, becoming the third African country to do so. Previous editions of this premier youth-led gathering on sustainable development were successfully held in Ghana, Ethiopia, and Zambia. Organized by Youth Alive! Kenya, the National Youth Council Kenya and Youth Advocates Ghana in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, the 2025 Summit is expected to convene over 1,000 youth delegates, policymakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and development partners from across the continent.

Since its inception in 2017, the African Youth SDGs Summit has developed into the continent’s largest youth-led platform for advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through inclusive dialogue, innovation, and actionable partnerships. The 2025 Nairobi edition will run under the theme: “Reimagining Africa through Youth-Driven Solutions”, offering a critical space for young people to exchange ideas, co-create solutions, and influence policy for a sustainable and inclusive Africa.

The Summit will focus on key thematic areas that directly align with youth priorities across Africa.
These include powering Africa’s green future through climate action and green jobs in agriculture and renewable energy; strengthening youth leadership in governance and civic engagement; unlocking innovation and employment through digital technology and entrepreneurship; advancing peacebuilding and social justice to foster safe and productive societies; enabling youth-driven cross-border trade under the AfCFTA framework; promoting access to mental, sexual, and reproductive health services; and growing Africa’s creative, cultural, and sports industries as engines of economic empowerment.

Youth delegates attending the 6th African Youth SDGs Summit will benefit immensely through opportunities for exposure, cross-border collaboration, and strategic networking with peers, policymakers, and global development actors. The Summit will serve as a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, innovation showcase, and resource mobilization, enabling youth to position themselves as central players in driving Africa’s sustainable development.

Through interactive sessions, policy dialogues, and solution-driven engagements, delegates will not only influence continental and global SDG priorities but also gain practical tools, partnerships, and visibility to scale their initiatives. Ultimately, the Nairobi Summit will empower a generation of youth leaders united in reimagining Africa through transformative, youth-led action.

Stay tuned—more details on sponsorship, delegate registration, and event highlights are coming soon.
